Regents Park Master Plan
MW Steele Group developed the Master Plan for Regents Park in La Jolla, California in a process that evolved over years of working with the landowner, building owners, and community group.
Beginning with the local community group, MW Steele Group created a series of concept sketches to communicate design alternatives. The planning team then worked with the community in a process of establishing common goals and a common vision. That process established a guiding vision, program for the site, and implementation guidelines for developing the site over a 15 to 20 year period.
MW Steele Group guided the entire Master Plan effort through the entire review process of the City of San Diego including environmental planning, long range planning, current planning, traffic engineering and City Council approval. MW Steele Group also completed final design and construction documents for the infrastructure, including streets, fountains, plazas, signage and landscape. This approach proved to be very successful and has created a coordinated project that fully lives up to the expectations of the community.
