Harmony Grove Village Specific Plan
MW Steele Group, in partnership with Rick Engineering, developed a Specific Plan and Development Standards for Harmony Grove Village.
The 468-acre site in northern San Diego County, is just west of the City of Escondido. Prepared for New Urban West, and subsequently adopted in 2007 by San Diego County, the plan defines land uses, identifies guidelines for community development, and details an implementation program. As part of the planning process, MW Steele Group led a public participation program that included a number of community workshops.
Central to the development is the Village Core, a mixed-use community hub that includes public meeting and recreation space, office and retail uses, and live/work housing. Harmony Grove Village is planned for approximately 740 single-family residences, ranging in size from small bungalows to estate lots.
